Invitation for the press conference in Tel Aviv
It is with pleasure that we inform you about the
official publication of the names of the Swiss project
1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005. The media
conferences will take place on June 29, 2005 in
different cities all around the globe.
One of them will be in Israel:
on June, 29th, in Sokolov-House (House of Press), in Tel
Aviv, at around 5pm. You will be able to meet some of
the totally eight nominated women representing Israel as
well as Rosmarie Zapfl, member of the board of the
association 1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005
and member of the Swiss and European parliament.
In January 2005 the Association 1000 Women for the Nobel
Peace Prize 2005 handed in to the Nobel Prize Committee
in Oslo the nomination of 1000 women from over 150
countries. The project’s goal is to throw light on the
global peace work done by women. To this end, a book on
the 1000 peace women will be published at the end of
2005, an interactive platform shall contribute to better
networking, and a travelling exhibit will make these
women’s untiring commitment to the cause of peace known
to a larger public.
